UK’s Eurovision 2025 Entry: Remember Monday to Perform ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’

The UK’s entry for the 2025 Eurovision Song Contest has been announced as country pop trio Remember Monday. The band, consisting of Charlotte Steele, Lauren Byrne, and Holly-Anne Hull, will perform their song ‘What The Hell Just Happened?’ at the competition in Basel, Switzerland, in May. This marks the first time a girl group has represented the UK in Eurovision since 1999.

Remember Monday, who gained recognition on The Voice UK in 2019 under Jennifer Hudson’s mentorship, have since built a significant social media following, amassing over 500,000 TikTok followers. The band described their selection as a ‘crazy honour’ and expressed their excitement about bringing something fresh and fun to the Eurovision stage.

The UK has a mixed history in Eurovision, having won five times but also struggling in recent years. Last year, Olly Alexander finished 18th with his song ‘Dizzy’, while in 2023, Mae Muller placed 25th with ‘I Wrote A Song’. The last notable UK success was in 2022 when Sam Ryder finished in second place with ‘Space Man’.

The trio hopes to break the recent trend of poor results and make a strong impact at Eurovision 2025 with their energetic performance.
